INTRADE MALAYSIA 2008 is an international trade exhibition specially hosted in Malaysia. It showcases a wide range of quality products and services from around the world.

Its principal objective is to promote and enhance trade, investment opportunities in the global arena among Malaysian and international manufacturers, entrepreneurs and businesses. It is also to highlight Malaysia’s strategic locality in the Asean region, excellent infrastructure, political stability, pro-business policies and capable human capital, thus elevating Malaysia’s capability and position as the regional trading and investment hub to global world.

2. When and where will the exhibition be held?

INTRADE MALAYSIA 2008 will be held from November 13 to 16, 2008 at the MATRADE Exhibition and Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

3. Who is the main organiser of INTRADE MALAYSIA 2008?

INTRADE MALAYSIA 2008 is organised by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), the national export promotion agency of Malaysia. It is supported by Malaysian Government and the Ministry of International Trade and Industry.

4. How many companies and countries will be participating at INTRADE MALAYSIA 2008?

More than 600 companies from 60 countries worldwide are expected to take part in the four-day event from November 13 to 16, 2008. Also, several national pavilions from around the world will be at the showcase.

A wide range of quality products and services covering 40 industry clusters from around the world will be displayed. These ranges from agro-based products, automotive and auto parts, bio-tech products, building materials, electrical and electronic to services encompassing educational, financial, franchising, construction and professional services to name a few.

INTRADE MALAYSIA will cover more than 7,000 sq. metres of net space, making it one of the largest international trade fairs in the region.

In conjunction with INTRADE MALAYSIA 2008, MATRADE is also organising several trade related activities including the annual Incoming Buying Mission (IBM), the 2nd Kuala Lumpur International Trade Forum and a series of trade seminars on the ways to conduct businesses in Malaysia and around the world.

12. On the Incoming Buying Mission (IBM) organised by MATRADE, how can a trade visitor participate in engaging with the exhibitors and/or international buyers?

The IBM programme is a two-day event where pre-arranged meetings are held for INTRADE MALAYSIA 2008 exhibitors with selected international buyers.  All meetings must be arranged with the MATRADE Secretariat. 13. When will the IBM be held? How many international buyers are expected to participate in the programme?

The IBM programme will be held on November 14 and 15, 2008. More than 700 international from 60 countries are expected to meet with Malaysian and international manufacturers and exporters.

14. What are the key highlights of the 2nd KL International Trade Forum (KLITF) about and when will it be held?

The 2nd KL International Trade Forum (KLITF) provides the opportunity for global networking and understanding on the latest developments affecting international trade. 

KLITF offers international and local business leaders, entrepreneurs and industrialists to directly interact and exchange ideas and experiences. It also provides an efficient avenue to deliberate on the optimal solutions available to foster and enhance collaboration towards gaining a competitive edge in the globalised arena. 

KLITF will be held at Menara MATRADE, Kuala Lumpur, on November , 2008.

The KLITF is ideally suitable for:-

    • Business and trade communities, especially those in the export and import businesses;
